Local missions

Pond Springs is dedicated to local missions. As a small body of believers, much of our mission work is done on a personal and individual level. There are ongoing organized missions efforts that we support as well.

Heritage Retirement and Assisted Living

Each Sunday after our morning worship gathering, a group of the Pond Springs family heads just down the road to share in a short, but important devotional/communion service with the dear folks at Heritage. Serving this aging population is such a blessing and provides for outstanding intergenerational worship, storytelling, joy, love and laughter.

Central Texas Children’s Home

Central Texas Children’s Home began as a promise to help troubled boys have a second chance back in 1969.

Over the years, CTCH has grown from that original purpose to provide a safe haven for boys and girls broken by trauma, abuse, neglect, abandonment and selfishness. This ministry is now about reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:11-21). While helping children learn to adjust, adapt and overcome the pain of their past in order to be healthy in their present and prepared to serve in their future, CTCH also reminds them that God has plans for them.

Fostering Hope

Fostering Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to building stronger foster and adoptive families through training, mentoring, and church ministry development. We support them in their mission to change the lives of children and families. There are many opportunities to volunteer to serve our community.

Project Linus

Project Linus is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization providing blankets to children in need all across the USA. A Pond Springs group meets each month to provide blankets for this important ministry. You don’t have to be a professional tailor to be involved in this opportunity. Volunteers are welcomed!

Professional Counseling

Pond Springs recognizes that one of the tools that God uses in the ministry of healing and reconciliation is guidance provided by compassionate, qualified, and skilled Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Pond Springs has access to free professional counseling that may address the particular issue with which you are seeking help. To discuss these options, please join us at one of our weekly gatherings and make a personal, confidential inquiry.

International missions

Jesus introduced believers to world-wide missions (Matt. 28:18-20). Pond Springs embraces this mission with passion. We have several international mission efforts that we eagerly support, rejoice with and pray over.

Croatia

The Pond Springs family is blessed to have one of our own, Steve Taliaferro, working in dynamic and diverse settings in Croatia to reach children, youth and adults with the grace and love of Jesus. Steve has a vision for establishing a personal residence of his own in Croatia, a home base for an ever-growing ministry and calling.

Romania

Pond Springs supports local pastors who work night and day to serve multiple churches facing difficult circumstances.

Africa

Pond Springs will often gather with other believers to roast African-grown macadamia nuts that are resold to raise funds for African missions. This is a fun, sustainable, and impactful service project. Please join in!
