Saving faith is important -- probably the most important issue in life. But life goes on after following Christ. We call this discipleship.
Discipleship is a word that we don't hear much in public. It's a church word. But, don't let that throw you. It's anything but stuffy and outdated. Discipleship is simply the ongoing, active lifestyle of someone who wants to be like Jesus -- loving, gracious, forgiving and encouraging.
A disciple is a follower of Christ. Faith makes one a disciple and faithfulness drives that relationship to deeper and deeper depths. At Pond Springs we're kicking off the year with a call to prayer and seeking the Holy Spirit's direction as we anticipate and work towards spiritual maturity.
What does spiritual maturity look like to you?
