Thank you for letting us share a bit about ourselves. We think it's a privilege to share our heart with you and we're so thankful that your interested.
First and foremost, the Pond Springs family exists to glorify God. We believe that God -- the Father, Son, and Spirit -- is. And since, he is, we want to know him and connect with him in ever deepening ways. Of course, to have a deepening connection, we have to have a connection. For us, that connection is Jesus. His story is the greatest ever told and we are part of that story. It's the story of a son, so selfless, so pure, and so full of love that he leads us in triumph through faith. We put our trust in Jesus and he puts his life in us! How amazing is that!
Where do we go on this important, exciting adventure of glorifying God? Our mission is our map. The Pond Springs family exist to glorify God through joyful fellowship, passionate worship, loving outreach and by graciously equipping believers to grow and to serve.
- Fellowship comes through the Spirit. We share fellowship with all those who share fellowship with Christ. This joyful experience draws us closer to God and closer to one another.
- Passionate worship allows us the exquisite privilege of pouring ourselves into an expression of wonder, awe and honor for someone bigger that us. Often worship is a shared adventure where we gather as Christ-followers and sing, pray, commune around the Lord's Table and engage in the preaching of the Bible. But, worship is also a private and full-orbed expression of who we are and what we bring to the altar for God. We encourage believers to use all of their gifts to worship God every day of their lives through many different expressions -- art, music, writing, work, parenting, volunteering, social action and hundreds of other expressions of honor and glory to God.
- People are the world's most prized, but most overlooked possession. So many people are hurting, disconnected from life, disconnected from others and disconnected from God. At Pond Springs, we engage in the ministry of reconciliation -- an ongoing, loving grace-driven effort to connect, reconnect and help people stay connected with God. This outreach is not a smoke and mirrors effort to recruit members for our church; rather, it is a passionate, loving pursuit of restoring peace, love, hope and harmony for the life that is and for the life that is to come.
- Healthy families are growing families -- not perfect families. The Pond Springs family is not a perfect family. Each of us in broken and on a journey of growth in the Lord and by the Spirit. As we journey, we are empowered by God for growth. This growth doesn't just happen. Like any good workout, it comes through being engaged. At Pond Springs, the pastoral leadership feels called by God to equip believers to grow and to serve. We do this through a number of different avenues, all focused on helping you put your passions, talents and gifts into God's hands and allowing him to make something beautiful through the experience of becoming an advocate and instrument of service.
So, that's who we are -- on paper. But, we know that relationships are not about mission statements, bullet points and short summaries. Relationships are about spending time with people. We would love to spend time with you, to get to know you, to hear about what's happening in your life and to enjoy the blessing of getting to know how God is working in your life. If you would give us the privilege of getting to know you, we'd be honored and would "praise God from whom all blessings flow."
